rCB Asia Conference 2025

On 4th-5th of September, we had a full house, inspiring presentations and deep discussions about the rCB industry at the Smithers rCB Asia in Bangkok, Thailand.

We had 2 tyre keynotes ( The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and Continental) and also 2 local Thai rCB producers presenting ( ECO Infinic Co., Ltd. and Marubeni Corporation / Green Rubber Energy) and of course many experts, equipment and service providers as well as academia presenting. Thanks to all participants and to Smithers!

You could not attend rCB Asia? ❶ You still might be able to get the proceedings from Smithers and ❷ you can also meet us at rCB Europe on November 4th-6th 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.

You can watch my rCB Europe 2025 agenda walk-through here. Then have look at the event page. Finally, you can book over here. I recommend you to book the workshop as well where you can ask me your questions in a small group setting.

Ahead of the POWTECH TECHNOPHARM this week, NEUMAN & ESSER (NEA GROUP) had a 6 session webinar day on September 17th 2025, introducing the company's new Opposing Jet Classifier Mill Extra, the OCX.

If you missed the webinar, which was streamed in English, Chinese, German, Spanish and Portuguese, you can still get the webinar recording from your local NEUMAN & ESSER contact.

You can also meet the NEUMAN & ESSER team and the new OCX jet mill at the POWTECH TECHNOPHARM Show in Nuremberg on September 23rd - 25th in Hall 11, stand 11-112!

ContiTech acquiring Low Sulphur Fuels Ltd

On 3rd of September, ContiTech acquired IP from UK start-up company Low Sulphur Fuels Ltd, including a pilot facility. Congrats  Glenn Halliday  and !

While the press release is not giving further technical details, the IP is believed to mainly cover tyre pyrolysis oil purification through chemical oxidation (ContiTech image) and potentially also including scavengers.

Fire at Contec S.A.

All petrochemical companies deal with risks, each day and everyday. And so does our rCB & TPO industry. Sometimes I just realised this when companies had a new roofs installed. Other times the damage is more material and thus is reported in the news.

On August 24th, a fire was reported by Polish television and, to my horror, I knew the building shown, because I had visited Contec S.A. in the past.

Contec is among the most dynamic and growing rCB companies in our industry. In the past years, the company not only had invested into an expansion, an rCB treatment line, and an rCB laboratory, but also contributed actively to ASTM D36 standards and presented at major industry events including the Smithers rCB Europe Conference, the Tire Technology Expo and more.

While Contec's CEO  Krzysztof Wróblewski  has made an official statement about the accident on LinkedIn, all rCB peers and rCB colleagues are still waiting for a statement about future steps. We cross all fingers for you, team Contec and we will see you again in full strength at the rCB Europe Conference in Barcelona!

AZuR at K2025 Show

Mark your calendar: From the 8th-15th of October, the global polymer industry will meet again at the triennial Kunststoffe 2025 Fair in Düsseldorf.

The "K-fair" mainly covers the plastics industry, but also rubbers and elastomers, which are showcased in the "Rubber Street" in Hall 6.

The AZuR-Netzwerk will showcase circular tyre and rubber technologies on stand 6C54/06. 8 AZuR Partners will be present on this stand including Deutsches Institut für Kautschuktechnologie e. V., Genan, Messer SE & Co. KGaA, Pyrum Innovations AG, REGUPOL, Reoil Sp. z o.o. and wdk Wirtschaftsverband der deutschen Kautschukindustrie e.V..

The AZuR-Network also invites to a "Circular Thursday" on October 9th 2025 and to a press conference at 14:30 pm on the stand, showcasing circular projects and perspectives.

See you there!
