In this inaugural October 2022 edition, we will have a look at some interesting events relevant to the recovered carbon black industry.
18.10.2022 Smithers recovered Carbon Black Online Workshop "To the rescue of carbon black"
This online workshop will introduce novices to the topic of recovered carbon black and bring novices and experts up to date with currents topics and the state of the industry. It is a great introduction session for everyone attending the recovered Carbon Black Conference in Berlin.
19.10. - 26.10.2022 K – The World's No.1 Trade Fair for Plastics and Rubber , in Düsseldorf, Germany
The K-fair is the largest plastics and polymers fair globally. For recovered Carbon Black colleagues it could be of interest meeting the carbon black industry and the plastic masterbatch industry. There is also a "Rubberstreet" with some rubber and TPE producers. One recovered carbon black producer will also exhibit: Ecolomondo Corporation. Many tire and rubber companies will attend but not exhibit on the K2022. You can already network with almost 7k K2022 participants in my LinkedIn group "Martin & friends: K2022 Networking"!
16.11. - 17.11.2022 Smithers recovered Carbon Black Conference, in Berlin, Germany
The rCB Conference is where the global recovered carbon black community meets. The agenda is packed with all important topics including business updates, regulatory (and REACH in particular), characterisation, recovered oil, innovations and scale-up and collaboration and a very strong field of presenters including Michelin, Bridgestone EMEA, Continental, , Birla Carbon, Orion S.A., BASF and, of course, many recovered carbon black companies.
22.11. - 23.11.2022 BLACKCYCLE Workshop in Saragossa, Spain
BlackCycle is a EU funded, Michelin lead consortium of 13 partners including ALIAPUR, Orion S.A. and Pyrum Innovations AG for tire recycling with a wholistic approach to technologies and products. The Saragossa workshop will focus on circular carbon blacks from tire pyrolysis oil, life-cycle-analysis and the status of ELT recycling and tire pyrolysis in the EU. While not directly focussing on recovered carbon black, the BlackCycle Consortium acknowledges the importance of this tire pyrolysis by-product.
