A new home for independent carbon insights

Welcome to News & Insights. This is where I will share my perspective on recovered Carbon Black, tyre pyrolysis and circular carbon markets, with one purpose: helping you make better business decisions.

LinkedIn is a useful place to start a conversation. Here, there is room to explore the evidence, explain the context and return to an article as the industry develops.

What you will find here

I will look at the questions that matter to producers, buyers, technology suppliers and investors. What has actually reached commercial production? What makes a material valuable in its intended application? What evidence should support a technology choice or an investment decision?

Expect market commentary, practical explanations, conversations with industry people and observations from plant visits. Where a topic involves uncertain data or company claims, I will make that distinction clear and link to the relevant sources.

Investor due diligence, circular strategy and growth

For investors, I will cover practical due diligence points: feedstock security, operating evidence, product qualification, customer commitments, capital requirements and the assumptions behind a financial model.

For circular businesses, I will explore strategy from choosing the right market and partners to building a credible route to commercial scale. Growth hacking will also have a place: focused experiments in positioning, content, lead generation and sales that help turn technical capability into paying customers.

From information to a decision

A promising announcement is a starting point. Understanding its implications takes context: the technology, the product, the customer requirements and the route to regular production.

That is the approach I bring to my consulting work and the approach I want this blog to reflect. The aim is to share useful knowledge and ask the tough questions.
